ETABS 20.1.0
STRUCTURAL MODEL
A new general shear wall hinge has been added, which consists of a pair of orthogonal P-M3 or Fiber P-M3 hinges, plus a linear or nonlinear shear material. These features allow the hinge to be used for modeling spandrels as well as piers, and to handle more complex wall geometries, such as near openings or geometry transitions. General shear wall hinges can be used for nonlinear static, staged-construction, and direct-integration time-history analyses.

The age of concrete at which loading is applied can now be specified for long-term cracked-section analysis. Previously, the age at loading was assumed to be 7 days.

DESIGN
The CSA A23.3-19 code has been added for concrete frame design.
The CSA S16-19 code has been added for steel frame design.
The CSA S16-19 code has been added for composite beam design.

DATA FILES
The handling of time history functions defined in external data files with many data points has been significantly enhanced for speed.

New section-property database files have been added for steel sections produced by Indian manufacturers TATA, Jindal Steel Ltd. and APL Apollo Ltd.

SAFE 20.2.0
DESIGN
The CSA S16-19 code has been added for composite beam design.

STRUCTURAL MODEL
The age of concrete at which loading is applied can now be specified for long-term cracked-section analysis. Previously, the age at loading was assumed to be 7 days.

ANALYSIS
Analysis and design will now be automatically rerun if cracked short-term or long-term deflection analysis is requested and a previous design to determine the amount of required rebar is not available.

GRAPHICS
Extruded views have been enhanced to show joint-offset overwrites for shell area objects.

SAFE 20.1.0
STRUCTURAL MODEL
Tendon materials are now available for the Chinese GB 50010-2010 standard.

DETAILING
Detailing is now available for composite-beam floors. Detailing can be viewed and edited within the program, and the results used for further design checks.

Concrete slab and beam detailing is enhanced to include PT tendon profiles. This includes showing tendons and jacks in 3D views of slab reinforcement and the tendon profiles in beam elevations and sections.

The detailing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) table now include the addition of quantities for steel beams and tendons.

General grid systems are now available in frame layout and rebar drawings for Detailling.
Waffle-slab and ribbed-slab detailing is enhanced to include the handling of reinforcement in waffles and ribs for small web widths, and the addition of a new rib-reinforcement view.

DRAFTING AND EDITING
On-screen measuring tools are now available to measure line lengths, the angles between two lines, and the areas and perimeters of closed polygons.

On-screen editing of Rebar Objects can now be made/accomplished/done using the reshaping tool.

USER INTERFACE
Additional tool buttons for the main tool bar are now available for quick access to information on concrete slab design, concrete beam design, composite beam design, punching shear design, and crack width display.
